Pipkin Creative Marketing LLC ("Bellwork," "we," "us," "our") operates the Bellwork mobile application (the "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

a. Account Information

• Email address (used to authenticate and identify users)
• School affiliation (determined automatically from your email domain or selected manually)
• Push notification token (used to deliver real-time announcements)

b. User-Generated Content

• Event titles, descriptions, dates, class/subject information, and tags
• Photos uploaded by teachers via the in-app camera or photo library
• Student names entered by teachers (kept internal to your school's environment)
• Teacher comments and notes

c. Technical Information

• Device platform (iOS or Android)
• App usage timestamps
• Crash and error logs (used to improve stability)

2. How We Use Information

Your information is used to:

• Authenticate you and route you to your school's content
• Display your school's branded interface
• Show event posts to authorized members of your school
• Deliver push notifications about school announcements
• Sync approved content to your school's Notion editorial database (when configured)
• Improve the App's performance and reliability

3. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored in Google Cloud's Firebase service. Each school's data is fully isolated by an org identifier; teachers and admins at one school cannot access another school's data.

Integration tokens (such as Notion API tokens) are stored encrypted within Firebase Firestore. Push notification tokens are stored alongside user records and used only to deliver notifications for the user's specific school.

Photos are stored in Google Cloud Storage with access restricted to authenticated users of the same school.

4. Third-Party Services

Bellwork uses the following third-party services. We do not sell user data to advertisers or any third party.

• Google Firebase (data storage, authentication, push notifications) — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
• Expo Push Service (routes push notifications to Apple's APNs and Google's FCM) — expo.dev/privacy
• Anthropic Claude API (provides AI-generated editorial suggestions for review by school admins; teacher submissions are sent to Claude only for grammar and brand voice polishing; no personally identifying information beyond email and event content is shared) — anthropic.com/privacy
• Notion API (used when a school's admin chooses to sync approved content to their Notion workspace) — notion.so/privacy

5. Children's Privacy

Bellwork is intended for use by school staff (teachers and administrators). Photos and references to children may be uploaded by teachers as part of documenting school events. Schools using Bellwork are responsible for obtaining appropriate photo-release consent from students' families.

In compliance with FERPA, student information (such as names) is stored only within Firebase and is never shared with third parties without the school's explicit configuration (for example, a school admin choosing to enable Notion sync). Student names are not included in AI-generated editorial suggestions sent to Anthropic's Claude service.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

User-generated content (events, photos, comments) is retained until the user, or their school admin, deletes it. Account data is retained while the account is active.

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account or specific content
• Withdraw consent for data processing

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated in-app or via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision.
